inLinking up with Kristen today for Inspire Me Healthy – Week Three!
Where, oh where is my exercise motivation? That is what I need x2 to get over this plateau weight spot. I had a gain this week, but given the time of the month, it was expected… If I have learned anything from my weight gains and losses these past few years, its that my body NEEDS and actually really enjoys exercise. Once I start and get in 4-5x a week, I see results. Pure & simple, right?
I did great at lunch, poorly at dinner with all dinners out of the house this week. Next week I will be traveling for work so I will try my ‘very best’ to watch it and not go overboard when our ‘breaks’ usually contain new company products to taste and our nights are eat, drink and be merry.
‘High’ of the week: packing my lunch three days, one glass of wine.
‘Low’ of the week: No workouts. I’ll admit it, didn’t make it to the gym once.
Goal next week: Limit treats and make good choices while traveling.

inInspire Me Healthy – Time to link up!
These lovely ladies – Kristen and Raven – have started a link up every Thursday with the title – Inspire Me Healthy. I obviously love the title because it has two of my favorite words, inspire – and what I strive to be – healthy. Let me get it straight, I am healthy but I want to get healthier. Who doesn’t? I’ve picked up some poor habits lately, especially in the past year [working in an office makes you so lazy, and the food, everywhere…#temptationcity]. I want to get back to basics; with portion size, exercise routine and with the fit of my clothes.
I am turning back to ‘ol faithful, Weight Watchers. Oh – and of course, the gym. Its been a while, friends.
Like many weight watcher members [or as my friends and I like to call it – Dub Dub for WW] this isn’t my first time on the program. But I know it works, and it will get me back to a healthier mindset, so that is what I am going to try to get myself back to my goal weight! I am proud to say I have kept off nearly 20 pounds, but at one point I was down 31 pounds from my starting weight. Slowly but surely, with a drink and a bad choice – here, there and everywhere – I gained back 13 pounds since July of 2009. That cannot continue, and its time I make some changes.
I joined WW back in July 2007. I had recently graduated college and had hit my all time highest weight mainly due to lack of exercise, Applebees happy hour [what up, 328 Aylesford Thursday nights!] and not to mention going out 5x a week senior year. To put it bluntly, bad decisions added up and at graduation I looked something like this…
My friend Nicole and I [and roommate freshman year]
Somehow, I was in great shape when I returned from our Europe trip in July 2009. I have no idea how – we ate and drank what we wanted every day, but I guess it was the ‘ol ‘walking more than you realize’ trick every day and the fact that I was a workout queen before we left because I didn’t want to gain ten pounds over the 4 weeks we were gone. Ah…memories…
So what are my goals?
1. Not to be unrealistic…make progress weekly, but not be obsessed with the scale and focus more on the fit of my clothes and how I feel.
2. To lose 15 pounds total [from what I weighed this AM – weigh in days on Thursdays].
3. Get back to the gym and focus on cardio, weights and making a routine.
4. Watching portions and temptations at the office.
5. Motivate others to reach their goals!
And what would a motivational post be without pinterest images?
Link up with us and see what you can achieve!
